Thoughts on photography.

Yesterday, I went out with some friends from town, and upon boarding my train home I promptly started sobbing and wailing. I spent about $60 USD and the guilt was eating me alive, I felt absurdly selfish even if my most obscene purchase was on a lovely vintage rosary. But on this trip, I picked up my camera from the shop and seeing all of the film sold there, it reignited an already lingering desire to start film photography, or more photography in general.
I love all photography so dearly, and I want to be a part of the groups of people who make the art I see so often so much. Most of my inspiration to take hold of this desire comes from a YouTuber my mama and I often watch on the TV while lounging about, Brian Lackey, and his videos and work inspire me so much. I know I am very much an amateur in photopgrahy and most any art really, but I also know, as I have been told before, if I don't practice, nothing happens. And I have taken this advice and applied it to my art and, now having my camera back, to my photography.
I know I won't become amazing within the week, but I know that I have to get out there and try. I live in a relatively small town (at least on my side of it), so there really isn't much to photograph, but it's worth the shot, isn't it? Even with my broken screen, which by the way they wanted to charge me $500 USD for the screen repair when a new camera costs $800 USD that I do NOT have for either, I will still go for it.
In terms of film photography, I'd like to know if anyone has any reccomendations for what camera and film to acquire to begin this journey! Put a message on my page to let me know, I will do my own research in the meantime. Anything is helpful, no matter how small the advice is.
On another note, I saw my favorite professor last week as my spring semester started again! It is always so wonderful, even if it did mean running into the professor who I have nothing to say about, besides the fact that she made me cry... However, a completely different experience with my favorite! She asked how my classes are, if I am well and such. I said of course, and she asked if I will graduate with honors. I said well I'm not too sure really, I'll have to get back to you on that one, and she told me she believes I can and absolutely will. It was a very nice meeting. I am quite fond of my classes this semester, more or less on my statistics, but definitely on my geology class. Tomorrow, I begin my online course for Intro to Archaeology, which I am very excited for. It is the month of love and of learning how to drive... let us all pray for my poor heart...
I hope to write more soon, but for now that is all. Camera suggestions! Film suggestions! Study methods! All is welcome on my page. I will try to get back without crashing into too curbs on the way!
